Golden Tate Won't Travel With Team
4 years agoNew York Giants wide receiver Golden Tate will not make the trip to Washington for Sunday's game, according to sources. The decision was made to keep him back due to overall issues with his effort and performance. Tate will have a chance to return to the lineup in Week 10 against the division-rival Eagles. The 32-year-old has not been happy with his role on the team behind pass-catchers Sterling Shepard, Darius Slayton and tight end Evan Engram. Tate recently liked some tweets that were critical of the Giants organization as well. He's mainly been a touchdown-dependent WR4/flex for fantasy managers anyway, so you can safely sit him if you have him rostered. His absence will mean more looks for Shepard, Slayton and Engram against Washington.
