Gerrit Cole Exits Saturday's Start Early Due To Cramping
2 years agoNew York Yankees right-hander Gerrit Cole exited Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers due to cramping. He allowed one run on four hits and two walks while striking out five over six innings before leaving. The 32-year-old threw 80 pitches, but cramping kept the right-hander from pitching deeper into the game. Cole is considered day-to-day for now. He owns a 2.82 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, and 84: 28 K: BB across 79 2/3 innings. Cole is tentatively scheduled to face the Boston Red Sox for his next start on Friday.
