5 years agoHouston Astros outfielder George Springer went 2-for-4 on Friday, crushing two home runs for Double-A Corpus Christi. The plan is for Springer (hamstring) to start and play the outfield on Saturday and then DH on Sunday. If there isn't a setback, Springer is expected to be activated and would be eligible to play Tuesday after an Astros off day. The Astros are close to getting back to full strength and Springer was having an MVP season before he went down with the injury on May 24. For the season Springer is slashing .308/.389/.643 with 17 home runs and 43 runs batted in.--Joey C - RotoBaller
