George Pickens Brags He Is The Best In The Game
1 year agoPittsburgh Steelers second-year wide receiver George Pickens said he is "the best in the world." He said he would have rated himself as a 99 across the board if he did the Madden ratings. Pickens, the No. 52 overall pick in the 2022 draft, made some impressively athletic catches as a rookie and finished with 801 yards on 52 receptions and four touchdowns. "I'm big, I'm fast, low 4.4 [speed]. Catch radius is crazy. So every time I get out on the field, I do kind of play angry because I should get the ball on every play if you just look at the size and the frame. If I was a coach, I'd just throw to him every time," Pickens said in an interview with The Ringer's Kevin Clark. Pickens created controversy last season by yelling for more targets on the sidelines of a Week 13 Steelers win. He finished third on the team in targets, but he has to compete with veteran Diontae Johnson, who had the most targets, and tight end Pat Freiermuth.
