George Pickens 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook: Excellent Value For Low Cost

He will get a quarterback upgrade with Russell Wilson and Justin Fields coming to town while trading Diontae Johnson to the Carolina Panthers, which will vacate 87 targets in this offense. Pickens' skillset as a downfield threat lends itself to low volume. However, Wilson has always been one of the better deep-ball passers in the NFL, and this should help Pickens. Additionally, with a lack of established high-end receiving talent on the roster, expect the Steelers to scheme more looks for Pickens. Talent always wins out, and Pickens should earn substantial target volume in this offense. Pickens had a mini-breakout in 2023, gaining 1,140 receiving yards and five touchdowns on 18.1 yards per catch. That includes a game in which he had zero catches for zero yards. The Steelers project to be a run-first team in 2024, but Pickens should meet and will likely exceed his 2023 yardage and touchdown totals, making him a solid fantasy asset.
