Watkins Glen has always been a great track for Chase Elliott. Heading into Sunday's Go Bowling at The Glen, the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series Champion was on a four-race streak of top-five finishes at the track, including back-to-back wins in the 2018 and 2019 seasons. A costly fuel miscalculation ruined Elliott's chances of extending that streak this weekend, though, as he wound up finished in 32nd-place and one lap down. Perhaps the worst part of this for Elliott, though, is that it makes it that much more difficult for him to make the Playoffs. He is now in a must-win scenario heading into the final regular season race at Daytona next weekend. If he doesn't win on Saturday night, Chase Elliott will not be in this year's Playoffs field to contend for the Championship--something very few people (if any) expected at the start of the season.--Jordan McAbee
