The Washington Nationals returned Rule 5 draft pick Evan Reifert to the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday. The 25-year-old threw six-and-one-third innings of relief this spring and while he struck out nine batters (12.79 K/9), the righty also walked 12 batters. That, combined with seven hits, resulted in 11 earned runs in his limited sample. The 6-foot-4 hurler has great strikeout stuff, recording a 39.0 percent K% over 146 1/3 minor league innings, but it comes with a career 14.0 percent BB%. If he can somehow improve the command issues, a 2025 major league debut could be in the cards, and an 80-grade slider should work even at the top level. However, it would likely be in a low-leverage role, so for fantasy, Reifert won't be a stash candidate.--Jarod Rupp
