Eric Ebron Believes He Can Be the Zach Ertz of New Colts Offense
7 years agoIndianapolis Colts tight end Eric Ebron expects to be the Zach Ertz of a reformed offense under newly hired Colts head coach and former Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Frank Reich. "He's done great things with tight ends," Ebron said, "I think he's brought me in here to be that ... effective player for him." Reich scripted the game plans for Pro Bowler Ertz and backup tight end Trey Burton, who just signed a fresh contract with the Chicago Bears. Although Ebron's lofty expectations have the potential to be buried behind the Colts two dominant playmakers in T.Y. Hilton and Jack Doyle, a healthy Andrew Luck has certainly supported a two-tight end system in the past.
