Emerson Hancock Dealt Second Straight Loss
Emerson Hancock yielded three hits and two earned runs over five innings of work in Thursday's 10-1 road loss against the Minnesota Twins. He struck out two, walked three, and hit two batters to fall to 3-4 through 14 starts. The former Georgia Bulldog picked up a second straight loss in his team's defeat, though he pitched much better this time out as opposed to the nine earned runs he allowed to the Cubs last week. Hancock has steadily given up three earned runs or fewer in 11 of his outings this season. However, he's notched six or more in the other three to balloon his ERA and WHIP to an undesirable 5.30 and 1.42. He'll get the visiting Kansas City Royals his next time out.
