The Columbus Blue Jackets and Elvis Merzlikins agreed to a five-year extension on Tuesday. Merzlikins will get paid an AAV of $5.4 million. He went 8-12-5 last year for the Blue Jackets with a 2.77 goals-against average and a .916 save percentage. The goaltender followed up a brilliant rookie season with a solid second act. Even his quality starts percentage improved to nearly 61%. One of the nagging questions now will be what does Columbus do with Joonas Korpisalo. Korpisalo would likely be traded. If that is the case, Merzlikins is the number one starter and will be one to own in deeper fantasy leagues especially. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
