Carolina Panthers defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero is staying with the team for the 2024 season, and most of his defensive staff is expected to return as well. The 43-year-old drew strong interest from other teams this hiring cycle after overseeing the NFL's fourth-ranked defense in 2023 -- the second year in a row Evero had a top-10 defense. He interviewed for head-coaching positions with the Seattle Seahawks, Atlanta Falcons and Panthers. Evero signed a three-year deal worth just over $9 million in 2023, which put him among the highest-paid defensive coordinators in the league. Carolina blocked at least three teams' requests to speak with Evero for their defensive-coordinator jobs. The move to retain Evero in Carolina will be a big plus for what is an already strong defense.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
