Edwin Encarnacion Walks The Parrot Twice
6 years agoSeattle Mariners first baseman Edwin Encarnacion uncorked a pair of long balls in the team's 9-3 win over the Angels. He finished the game going 2-for-5 with two runs and three RBI as he's hit seven homers in his last nine games. Encarnacion has 20 bombs on the season as he now takes over the AL lead in this category to go along with 46 RBI and a .245 batting average. The veteran has outplayed expectations this year after somewhat of a down year in Cleveland last season. The power numbers should continue to flourish throughout the year, although a trade seems imminent at some point this summer. In the meantime, Encarnacion will remain a top power producer for the M's as he continues to build trade value.
