Arizona Diamondbacks right-handed pitcher Drey Jameson (elbow) faced live hitters for the first time on Tuesday since undergoing Tommy John surgery. Jameson had the operation in September 2023 and is attempting to ramp up in time to make the Opening Day roster. Manager Torey Lovullo noted that his session was "electric." Jameson was able to strike out the second batter he faced. The 27-year-old pitched primarily out of the bullpen during the 2023 season and held a 3.32 ERA and a 1.42 WHIP. He struck out 37 batters across 40 2/3 innings. However, he did generate a strong 30.0 percent whiff rate and a 30.5 percent chase rate, suggesting he may see some positive regression in his strikeout production when he returns to action. Fantasy managers should expect Jameson to return to the bullpen if he is cleared for Opening Day.--Andy Smith
