5 years agoNew Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton said that he might wait until Sunday morning to decide whether quarterback Drew Brees (thumb) will play against the Cardinals in Week 8. Brees has made a quick recovery and could return this weekend to a fantastic matchup against the Cardinals, although they did just get shutdown cornerback Patrick Peterson back last week after he served his suspension. If the future Hall of Famer does return under center this week, Teddy Bridgewater will go back to the bench. Brees would be an immediate QB1 after his absence, and it would make receiver Michael Thomas even more attractive, not that he wasn't already.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
