Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Dougie Hamilton continued his good run of form on Thursday, scoring his sixth goal of the season in a 4-3 overtime loss to Columbus. Hamilton is the first blueliner in the league to produce six-plus goals in the month of October since Sheldon Souray in 2006-07. He's also only the second defenseman in franchise history to record at least six goals in October. Ryan Dzingel and Sebastian Aho were also on target when the Carolina jumped to a 3-1 lead. Hamilton has been one of the best defensemen in the league so far, in real life and in fantasy hockey as well. He has 11 points through 10 games, a plus-nine rating, 33 shots on goal, four power-play points and a fair share of hits and blocks.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
