Didi Gregorius Could Return Next Week
6 years agoNew York Yankees shortstop Didi Gregorius (elbow) could return on the team's upcoming road trip to Toronto and Cleveland which starts next Tuesday. He will be able to return once he's able to play nine innings at shortstop in back-to-back rehab games, according to manager Aaron Boone. Gregorius has two hits in 10 at-bats with a homer so far with High-A Tampa and Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. The 29-year-old had a career-high 27 home runs for the Yanks last year and will return to starting shortstop duties when he's ready. That'll push Gleyber Torres to second base, which means DJ LeMahieu and Giovanny Urshela will platoon at the hot corner. Pick Didi up now if he's available in your league.
