San Jose Sharks goaltender Devan Dubnyk was traded to the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday for defenseman Greg Pateryn and a 2021 fifth-round draft pick. San Jose picked up Dubnyk from Minnesota for this season, but he made only 13 starts for the team, going a miserable 3-9-2 with a 3.18 goals-against average and a .898 save percentage. Colorado has had no proven backup for Philipp Grubauer this season, so they get the situation sorted with this deal. Meanwhile, San Jose adds some defensive depth with the addition of Pateryn, who was very little used by the Avalanche this season and skated in only 11 games. Martin Jones will get a lot of burn in San Jose's crease now. He makes his 27th start of the season on Saturday versus the Kings, looking to improve a 15-8-2 record.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
