6 years agoLos Angeles Chargers rookie safety Derwin James has taken the league by storm so far, and his presence has helped the team have one of the best nickel packages in the game. The Chargers are allowing just 4.9 yards per play when in a nickel defense, third-best in the NFL, and they get to face rookie Baker Mayfield this week. While LA's defense as a whole has had some struggles because they're missing their best player, Joey Bosa, James has helped make a world of difference in the secondary and looks like he's going to be an elite player for years to come.
