The New Jersey Devils will use goaltender Cory Schneider as their starter for Thursday's game against the Chicago Blackhawks. He heads into the game with an 0-6-2 record, 4.12 goals-against average and .868 save percentage, last picking up a victory in the NHL way back on Dec. 27, 2017, a span of 23 appearances. That's not really good, and he'll be facing a Blackhawks team with renewed confidence and vigor. Keith Kinkaid was horrendous in Tuesday's meeting against St. Louis, letting in eight goals on 39 shots, so the door is still open for Schneider to work his way back into the good graces of head coach John Hynes.--Daniel Dobish
