Cole Custer qualified third on Saturday with a lap of 92.669 mph, marking his highest qualifying position this season. Custer could be one to watch on Sunday with his success on road courses, as he finished an impressive ninth at Charlotte at the Roval in 2020 and 13th at the Daytona International Speedway road course last year. Dating back to his NASCAR Xfinity Series days, Custer finished outside the top 10 just once in 11 road-course outings. Custer could use his start towards the front to put together another good finish in Austin.--Nate Duffett
