Cole Custer handled the turns a lot better than projected in the first practice session on Saturday as he managed a 12th place result. The No. 41 Ford had moments where he was in the top ten in certain sectors -- particularly the middle portions of the track. Sometimes builds can perform a little differently in qualifying especially when its on race day. However, Custer appeared to have a little extra left in the car.
