Clyde Edwards-Helaire Good To Go For Super Bowl
4 years agoKansas City Chiefs rookie running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire (ankle, hip), who was questionable going into the AFC Championship game against the Bills last weekend, was removed from the injury report for the Super Bowl against the Buccaneers on Feb. 7. Edwards-Helaire was limited in practice on Wednesday but was able to get in full sessions on Thursday and Friday. The 21-year-old suffered a high-ankle sprain in Week 15 and returned in the win over Buffalo, rushing the ball only six times for seven yards. He'll remain risky in the Super Bowl against a Tampa defense that allowed the second-fewest fantasy points per game to running backs in the regular season, including just eight rushing TDs. Darrel Williams will remain involved and Le'Veon Bell (knee) is expected to play, but CEH should see a more substantial workload with another full week to get closer to full strength.
