Clayton Kershaw Returns To Cy Young Form In 2020
Clayton Kershaw is firmly back in the National League Cy Young hunt following another scoreless outing Thursday. Through his first six starts, Kershaw has amassed a 1.50 ERA with 41 strikeouts in 36 innings, having allowed a combined 10 hits in his last four appearances. The southpaw owns a 0.72 WHIP, the premier mark among all starters in the Majors. With an elite walk rate still in his back pocket (4.5%), Kershaw has bumped up his K% (30.6%) to its highest levels since 2016. He is set to face Arizona again next week, yet to allow a run in the first 11 innings that the two sides have met this year.
