According to Francys Romero, the Los Angeles Dodgers have traded outfielder Arnaldo Lantigua to the Cincinnati Reds in exchange for $1 million in international signing bonus money. The 19-year-old outfielder was signed by Los Angeles in January of 2023. Lantigua spent each of the previous two seasons in the Dominican Summer League. In 2023, Lantigua posted a .222/.345/.475 line with two doubles, seven home runs, and an 18:26 BB:K ratio. However, in 2024, Lantigua took a step forward as he held a .301/.430/.575 line. Across 49 contests, he hit 11 home runs and swiped six bags, with an impressive 33:36 BB:K ratio. Given his progression in the Dominican Summer League, Lantigua will likely open the 2025 campaign at the Single-A level.--Andy Smith
