Christian Kirk With Only 48 Yards In Win Vs. Titans
Christian Kirk caught three of six targets for 48 yards in the 34-14 win against Tennessee. It was definitely a disappointing output for the twenty-seven-year-old, who was coming off his second 100+ yard game of the season. Kirk's teammate Calvin Ridley absolutely dominated the Titans secondary all game long, as Lawrence looked downfield more often than not. The quarterback was also spreading the ball around quite a bit with five different players receiving at least three targets. The Jaguars have wanted to establish a vertical passing attack but have not been able to do this with any sort of consistency this season. This has actually seemed to benefit the likes of Kirk, who makes his money on the quicker intermediate routes. The ex-Cardinal was still second on the team in targets and receiving yards, so there's nothing here to suggest a downward trend. He will look to bounce-back next week against the divisional rival Houston Texans on the road.
