Christian Kirk Could Be Back In Week 6
5 years agoArizona Cardinals wide receiver Christian Kirk's (ankle) injury isn't season-ending, and while he's not expected to play in Week 5 against the Bengals, he could return to the mix as early as Week 6 against the Falcons, according to head coach Kliff Kingsbury. Both Kirk and Damiere Byrd (hamstring) are expected to miss this Sunday, which means it should be Larry Fitzgerald, rookie Keesean Johnson and Trent Sherfield in three-wide sets, with rookie Andy Isabella also seeing a bigger role. Pharoh Cooper seems in line to play the second receiver role inside behind Fitz, and he could also return kicks and punts. Kirk leads the team with 24 catches and is second behind Fitzgerald with 242 receiving yards. Johnson is trending up as a DFS sleeper pick, but Fitzgerald is really the only receiver that can be trusted in starting lineups in season-long leagues.
