Chase Claypool 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook: Lands On Injured Reserve, Mainly A Deep-League Dynasty Stash
4 months agoBuffalo Bills wide receiver Chase Claypool (toe) is seeking stability up north after bouncing around in the past two seasons. A former second-round pick in Pittsburgh, Claypool splashed with nine touchdowns as a rookie but inconsistent play led to a 2022 trade to Chicago. The promise was enough to command the 32nd overall pick from the Bears, but he only had 14 catches in seven games for them before eight total receptions between Chicago and Miami in '23. We are two years removed from the 25-year-old shining but character/off-the-field concerns have seen him drift of late. Buffalo has turned over its WR room going into 2024 as it looks to replace Stefon Diggs and Gabriel Davis, vacating 241 targets in the process. This leaves the door open for Claypool, Curtis Samuel, Keon Coleman, and Marquez Valdes-Scantling alongside Khalil Shakir. Claypool's half-PPR ADP is the No. 108 WR for a lottery ticket into Josh Allen's offense. Update: (08/13/24): The Buffalo Bills placed Claypool on the injured reserve, ending his season. Mack Hollins and Marquez Valdes-Scantling should see an uptick in snaps with Claypool sidelined. Claypool mainly becomes a deep-league dynasty league stash as he looks to fully recover from his toe injury in 2025.
