The Toronto Blue Jays extended manager Charlie Montoyo's contract through the 2023 season, according to an industry source. Montoyo's deal also includes two team options through the 2025 season. The 56-year-old skipper is heading into his fourth season with the team after originally signing a three-year deal that included an option for the 2022 that was picked up last spring. Montoyo has gone 190-194 in his three seasons at the helm after taking over for a 95-loss team in 2019. He led the Blue Jays to a playoff berth in the expanded postseason in 2020 when the team finished 32-28 in the shortened COVID-19 season. Toronto fell just one game short of the playoffs in 2021 when they finished 91-71.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
