Boston Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy totaled three assists during a 6-3 win over the Ottawa Senators on Monday afternoon. McAvoy is one of the best young defensemen in the NHL and has taken on a bigger offensive role with the absence of Torey Krug (ankle). McAvoy put up seven goals and 25 assists in 63 games last season. He should be able to build on those numbers in his sophomore season on a solid Bruins team.
