Carson Wentz, Jack Doyle Active In Week 4
3 years agoIndianapolis Colts quarterback Carson Wentz (ankles) and tight end Jack Doyle (back) are both active in Week 4 against the Miami Dolphins. Wentz surprisingly played through two sprained ankles in the Week 3 loss to the Tennessee Titans, and he practiced all week, so he was expected to play again this weekend. Still, the Colts tried to avoid putting the ball in Wentz's hands as much as possible, and that could be the game plan yet again on Sunday against Miami. He didn't even attempt to run the ball at all last week, so Wentz will only be a starting option as a low-end QB2 in superflex leagues. Doyle has eight more targets than Mo Alie-Cox through three games, but he has only nine catches for 95 yards. In this run-first offense, Doyle is strictly a touchdown-dependent TE2.
