2 years agoLos Angeles Rams running back Cam Akers faces the LA Chargers, one of the worst rushing defenses in the league in Week 17. The Chargers allow 140.5 yards per game, the seventh-most, and 5.3 yards per game, the second-most. They have allowed nine 100-yard rushing performances, the ninth-most. With 21.1 points per game allowed, the Chargers are the fifth-most favorable matchup for fantasy RBs. Akers has control of the Rams' backfield and amassed 20 carries for the first time last week. It is unlikely that he will have so much volume this week. The Rams probably will not get out to a 30-point lead on the Chargers. But Akers is an RB2 with RB1 potential if he scores multiple touchdowns.--Mitchell Blatt - RotoBaller
