MLB.com's Adam McCalvy is guessing that Milwaukee Brewers infielder Caleb Durbin could start the 2025 season as the team's regular second baseman, with Brice Turang moving to shortstop after the departure of Willy Adames in free agency. However, Turang won the National League Gold Glove at second base in 2024, so it could be a reach to move him off the keystone for the unproven Durbin, who the Brewers acquired from the New York Yankees in the Devin Williams offseason trade. McCalvy also writes that there's a scenario in which Joey Ortiz starts at shortstop, with Turang staying at second base, if the team isn't comfortable rushing Durbin into a full-time big-league role. Durbin, 24, does have a path to regular playing time in 2025, though. He doesn't have much power but makes a ton of contact and had 29 steals in 82 games at Triple-A last year.--Keith Hernandez
