The Atlanta Braves signed free-agent veteran reliever Buck Farmer to a minor-league deal last Sunday, and he was immediately at Braves camp on Monday. Farmer will help make up for the losses of right-hander Joe Jimenez (knee), who could miss all of 2025 after having knee surgery last October, and left-hander A.J. Minter, who signed as a free agent with the division-rival New York Mets. Raisel Iglesias will be Atlanta's closer once again, with Pierce Johnson and Aaron Bummer having increased roles as high-leverage setup men. Daysbel Hernandez will also have a chance to lock down an important setup role in Atlanta's bullpen, so if Farmer makes the team out of spring training, he'll likely be more of a middle reliever for the Braves. Farmer had a solid 3.04 ERA in 61 outings with the Reds last year but struck out only 70 and walked 29 in 71 innings with a lowered fastball velocity.--Keith Hernandez
