Bryce Harper Playing Through Elbow Soreness
Bryce Harper (elbow) is currently dealing with right elbow soreness. According to Phillies manager Joe Girardi, the soreness isn't affecting Harper at the plate. It's only a nuisance when Harper is throwing from the outfield. The 29-year-old played designated hitter on Sunday and he will continue to play designated hitter during the team's three-game series against the Colorado Rockies, which begins on Monday. The reigning NL MVP is slashing .216/.333/.486 with two home runs, nine RBI and nine runs through 10 games on the year. He's slotting in as the team's No. 2 hitter for Monday's contest.
