Broncos Defense Slows Down The Chiefs In Week 13
4 years agoThe Denver Broncos Defense looked really impressive in the Week 13 Sunday night loss to the division-rival Chiefs and their exciting and high-scoring offense. In their first meeting in Week 7, Denver allowed 40-plus points in the snow, so this was certainly an improvement against the defending Super Bowl champions. It was even more impressive considering the fact that the Broncos best playmakers on defense are mostly injured. The return of Shelby Harris on the defensive line definitely helped their cause. But from a fantasy perspective, the Denver D left a lot to be desire, as expected. They failed to record a single turnover and sacked Patrick Mahomes only one time. The Broncos defense could be facing a Panthers offense in Week 14 that is without receivers D.J. Moore and Curtis Samuel due to COVID-19, but All-Pro running back Christian McCaffrey is expected to return. Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater has done a good job of taking care of the football this year, too, giving the Broncos defense little upside for fantasy managers streaming defenses.
