Brendan Allen went through a three-round war with previously undefeated prospect Kyle Daukaus. Both fighters looked battle-ready as the fight began. Allen landed a huge knee, which put him in the driver's seat. The two took turns as far as being in control on the mat. The second round was similar to the first, with both fighters looking strong on the mat. Allen absorbed a couple of solid strikes on his feet before landing a series of his own. Allen was just looking to survive in Round 3, nearly escaping a potential 10-8 by breaking free of ground control and throwing some heavy ground strikes. With the win, Allen moves to 3-0, plus a Contender Series victory. A top-15 fighter, maybe a Brad Tavares or Antonio Carlos Junior are on tap next.--Matt Bricker
