Breece Hall 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook: Upside To Be Fantasy's RB1
7 months agoNew York Jets running back Breece Hall was three fantasy points away from finishing as the RB2 with multiple backup quarterbacks behind center. The 23-year-old rushed for 994 yards and five touchdowns while catching 76 passes for 591 and four scores over 17 games in 2023. After his dud against Miami in Week 15, Hall erupted for 357 rushing yards and three touchdowns while hauling in 23 catches for 150 receiving yards and a receiving score during the fantasy playoffs through Weeks 16-18. The former second-round pick led all backs with 95 targets last season and averaged an impressive 4.8 YPC. The Jets had four carries inside the five-yard line all season, the least number of attempts in the league. Even though there is the risk with starter Aaron Rodgers (Achilles), Tyrod Taylor for the Jets backup quarterback provides an improved outlook if the worst-case scenario comes. It's hard to find a better fantasy pick than Hall, a top-three player in terms of talent and volume heading into year three. With Dalvin Cook gone, the Jets drafted Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis in the 2024 NFL Draft, but neither should take many touches from Hall. With Rodgers back and an improved offensive line as the Jets acquired left tackle Tyron Smith and Morgan Moses and drafted Ola Fashanu in the first round, Hall is one of the safest running backs to select in the first round of 2024 fantasy football drafts. RotoBaller has Hall ranked seventh overall player and is the second running back off the board behind Christian McCaffrey. Hall's fantasy stock continues to rise, and he is currently going with the third pick in NFFC drafts.
