The Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets by a score of 5-4 in Game 5 on Wednesday to advance to the second round of the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Lightning forward Brayden Point scored the OT winner once again, after ending Game 1 in the same fashion, to eliminate the Blue Jackets after their first round upset in last season's Playoff match-up. Point concluded the series with four goals, three assists and seven points, along with a plus-three rating and 20 shots on goal through five games. The Lightning received an abundance of offensive support, as Tyler Johnson, Blake Coleman, Kevin Shattenkirk and Anthony Cirelli each scored a goal throughout regulation, while forward Nikita Kucherov tallied three assists in the contest to bring his point total to seven for the series. Goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy stopped 37-of-41 shots on goal to finish the series with a 4-1-0 record. The Lightning await their next opponent in the second round, but forward Steven Stamkos (lower body) remains out indefinitely due to an injury he suffered prior to the season restart.--Denis Vondrus - RotoBaller
