Brandon Marsh Out On Thursday
2 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Brandon Marsh (knee) is not in the starting lineup on Thursday against the Atlanta Braves. It shouldn't come as a big surprise after Marsh bruised his left knee attempting to make a catch at the wall on Wednesday. The Phillies are also facing tough left-hander Max Fried in Thursday's tilt, so it makes too much sense to rest Marsh for at least one more day. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. Matt Vierling will get the start in center field on Thursday and is hitting seventh against Fried. Vierling has been better against southpaws this year, batting .281 (32-for-114) with two of his five home runs against them in 125 plate appearances.
