The agent of Boston Red Sox utility man Blake Swihart has requested a trade out of Beantown. The former top prospect has struggled to find playing time in a deep Red Sox lineup over the past three seasons, which is evidenced by the fact that he has only played in 40 games during that timespan. Dustin Pedroia's imminent return would also push Swihart further down the depth chart. Swihart was originally a catcher, but due to defensive inefficiencies behind the plate, the Red Sox have used him all around the diamond. Swihart looked promising enough during his 2015 rookie campaign to garner interest from other teams. Perhaps a change of scenery will help him improve on his paltry offensive numbers, but at this point, Swihart should not be on anyone's fantasy radar.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
