Bill Belichick On The Hot Seat?
1 year agoThere is a school of thought that suggests New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has earned the right to go out on his own accord, but owner Robert Kraft doesn't subscribe to that thinking, writes The Athletic's Jeff Howe. Belichick is pursuing Don Shula's all-time wins record, but over the last two weeks, Belichick suffered the biggest blowout loss of his career to the Cowboys and followed it up with the organization's worst home shutout. It's the first time since Kraft bought the team that they've lost by 30 points in the same season. Kraft has grown frustrated over this shortage of success in the post-Tom Brady era, according to people close to the situation. Belichick is one of the greatest coaches in the history of the NFL no doubt, but he has failed to evolve of late and hasn't invested in big-time receivers despite the league trending in that direction.
