Major League Baseball commissioner Rob Manfred stated that he expects that the Athletics' new stadium in Las Vegas will be open in 2028. In the meantime, the team will call Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento, California, home, which is also home to Triple-A's Sacramento River Cats of the San Francisco Giants organization. Manfred also noted that the facility will attempt to provide fans with an experience as similar to the major leagues as possible. The Athletics finished fourth in the AL West last season and don't look like they'll finish any higher in 2025, although they do have some exciting players to watch in Brent Rooker and Lawrence Butler, as well as offseason pickup Luis Severino. They also recently signed manager Mark Kotsay to a four-year contract extension.--Jarod Rupp
