3 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers safety Antoine Winfield Jr. was being evaluated for a concussion late in the fourth quarter of the Sunday night game against the New England Patriots. He had an interception and a forced fumble before the injury. The Bucs secondary lost cornerback Carlton Davis (quadriceps) in the first half when he was carted off the field with a potential serious injury. On top of that, Jamel Dean and Sean Murphy-Bunting were already out, so Tampa's defense could be dangerously thin if both Davis and Winfield are forced to miss some time moving forward. The Buccaneers defense has been a weak point early in the season, and the injuries certainly won't help. Opponents could attack deep more often, but the Miami Dolphins in Week 5 might not be able to take full advantage with quarterback Jacoby Brissett at the controls.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
