Anthony Castonzo Done For The Season
4 years agoIndianapolis Colts left tackle Anthony Castonzo (ankle) will miss the rest of the season due to an ankle injury that will require surgery, according to head coach Frank Reich. Castonzo missed the Week 16 loss to the Steelers after suffering the injury in practice late last week. Right tackle Braden Smith also missed the game after going on the COVID-19 list, which forced Chaz Green and Will Holden into starting roles. Green allowed two sacks and four total pressures on 41 pass drops at right tackle against Pittsburgh. Holden was injured, forcing veteran J'Marcus Webb into action. Green will start at left tackle in Week 17 against the Jaguars, with Smith expected to resume his role on the right side. Indy is also expected to sign veteran tackle Jared Veldheer. The Colts offensive line is at less than full strength, but quarterback Philip Rivers is still a low-end QB1 against the one-win Jaguars. But it'll be something to watch if the Colts advance to the postseason.
