Baltimore Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said that right-handed reliever Andrew Kittredge (knee) will throw a live batting practice session on Wednesday. It will be the first time that Kittredge will face live hitters since having arthroscopic surgery on his left knee during spring training in March. The 35-year-old veteran reliever began the 2025 season on the 15-day injured list but is making good progress and could be ready to come off the IL for his season debut in May. When healthy, Kittredge could develop into a key late-inning setup man for the Orioles in front of closer Felix Bautista. If he's able to get through a couple live batting practice sessions, Kittredge should be cleared for a minor-league rehab assignment sooner than later. He has yet to pitch in 2025 for Baltimore but was an All-Star in 2021 with the Rays and had a 2.80 ERA with 67 strikeouts in 70 2/3 frames a year ago.--Keith Hernandez
