Toronto Blue Jays second baseman Andres Gimenez will attempt to reignite his bat with his new club in 2025 after posting an 83 wRC+ last season, a drop from 96 in '23 and a career-best 141 in '22. The 26-year-old puts the bat on the ball well, recording a 79.2% Contact% and a low strikeout rate of 15.3% last season, but it didn't yield a high batting average. Combined with a walk rate of just 4.1%, which is half the league average of 8.2%, it led to a poor OBP of .298. All of that, together with a 2.8% barrel rate, translated to a meager .252-9-63-64-30 stat line despite playing in 152 games (633 PA), along with a subpar .281 wOBA and toothless .087 ISO. ATC projections do not foresee a return to anything more than middling productivity for the former All-Star, forecasting a .257-11-62-68-27 line with a .307 wOBA and 101 wRC+, so drafting him at or before his NFBC ADP of 176 is for managers hoping he will outproduce that projection. RotoBaller has a less optimistic view, ranking the left-handed hitter at 188 overall.--Jarod Rupp
