Detroit Red Wings center Andreas Athanasiou managed to break out of his season-long slump on Monday night as he scored his first goal of the campaign during a 6-1 loss to the Nashville Predators. The speedy forward now has six points and a minus-18 rating through 14 games this season. Athanasiou potted 30 goals last season, but that plateau seems to be out of reach now. He is waiver-wire fodder in shallow leagues until he finds his consistency. Athanasiou and the struggling Red Wings will be back in action on Wednesday night against the New York Rangers.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
