Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Alec Pierce (ankle) put together the most productive season of his career in 2025, recording 47 receptions for 1,003 yards and six touchdowns on 84 targets across 15 games. The Colts rewarded the 26-year-old for his efforts in the offseason, re-signing him to a monster four-year, $114 million contract with $60 million guaranteed at signing. Pierce underwent offseason ankle surgery, but he's expected to be ready to go for the start of 2026. The Colts may also be planning for Pierce to step into the team's WR1 role, as Indianapolis traded away former top wideout Michael Pittman Jr. to the Pittsburgh Steelers in March. Pierce's best attribute as a pass-catcher remains his downfield ability, as he has led the NFL in yards per reception in each of the past two seasons. While his reliance on the deep ball creates volatility for his fantasy production, Pierce showed signs of becoming a more well-rounded receiver in his first season working with Colts quarterback Daniel Jones in 2025 by averaging a career-best 5.6 targets per game. If Pierce's usage continues to climb and he remains an explosive big-play threat, he could be in line for a breakout season in 2026. At the same time, Pierce's boom/bust track record creates uncertainty in his fantasy profile, particularly in PPR-scoring formats.
