Al Horford Won't Play Saturday
2 years agoBoston Celtics center Al Horford (back) is listed as out for Saturday's meeting with Orlando. The veteran center is dealing with lower back stiffness and won't play the second leg of a back-to-back set. Horford logged 34 minutes Friday against Miami and finished a 111-104 win with nine points and five rebounds. He didn't do a lot in the contest, but it was a much-improved performance compared to the season opener where Horford shot below 30 percent from the field and had only six points. It would be fun to see Blake Griffin pick up Horford's minutes on Saturday, but it's unlikely to happen and it's to be Grant Williams and Noah Vonleh who get to play more active roles.
