Edmonton Oilers defenseman Adam Larsson (foot) has been placed on the long-term Injured Reserve after blocking a shot off his foot in Wednesday night's season opener against Vancouver. The Swedish defender has been a problem among the fan base since he arrived due to the controversial 1-for-1 trade that sent fan-favorite Taylor Hall to New Jersey. Sources close to the team are reporting that it could be a broken bone near his right ankle, which could force him out of the lineup until at least 2020. Ethan Bear, Evan Bouchard and Joel Persson are all viable options to take his spot in the lineup for the foreseeable future. It is worth keeping an eye on all three of these players, as they all possess offensive upside and could become big fantasy sleepers if thrown into a bigger role.--Nate Duffett
